He trained as an actor at the Charles Dullin School and quickly took on various roles in theater and cinema. Fencing having accompanied him since adolescence (1963), it led him to also train as a Master of Arms and Combat Choreographer from 1974. As such, he was therefore sought after by numerous fencing companies. theater, including the Comédie Française which has invited him regularly since 1986, as well as the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art where he has taught since 1987.

Among his numerous combat choreographies, note Le Grand Salut and the Mapping at the Grand Palais in Paris for the Centenary of the International Fencing Federation, a number of productions by Cyrano de Bergerac, including that directed by Jacques Weber, that of Denis Podalydès and that of Georges Lavaudant, and most recently that of Lazare Herson-Macarel, as well as the final duel of Dangerous Liaisons in the production of John Malkovich at the Théâtre de l'Atelier, the fights of Dom Juan directed by Jacques Lassalle and those of several Shakespeare productions put on by Philippe Adrien and Stuart Seide in particular.
Among his latest creations as a fight choreographer, let us cite the duel of Edmond, in the staging of Alexis Michalik at the Théâtre du Palais Royal, the fights of the film The Royal Rascal integrated into the staging of Robert Carsen of Singin ' in the Rain, as well as the "fights" of Carmen la Cubana, both at the Théâtre du Châtelet, the final duel of Liaisons Dangereuses in the production of Anne-Marie Philipe at the Théâtre du Chêne Noir in Avignon, as well as all those of the creation Le Maître d’Armes in which he plays the main role alongside Anna Rostain (Studio Hébertot).
He also regularly performs for opera and musical theater, in France (Carmen at the Opéra Comique and Don Giovanni at the Opéra de Lyon, Carousel at the Théâtre du Châtelet) and abroad (Cyrano de Bergerac by Franco Alfano , presented in Madrid and San Francisco).
